World's first operational fifth-generation stealth fighter with supercruise, sensor fusion, and unmatched air dominance.

History

The F-22 Raptor represented the most ambitious fighter program in history, combining stealth, supercruise, advanced avionics, and extreme agility in a single airframe. Its radar-absorbing materials and carefully shaped airframe give it a radar cross-section smaller than a marble. The F119 engines enable sustained supersonic flight without afterburner, a capability called supercruise. Its AN/APG-77 AESA radar and integrated sensor suite provide unprecedented situational awareness. Congress capped production at 187 aircraft due to costs, and export was prohibited, making it the most exclusive operational fighter. The Raptor has never been defeated in air-to-air exercises.
